One of the benefits, often overlooked, of a depression is the low low prices of consumer goods. You can now buy a Chevy Suburban for 40% off MSRP, even more if your dealer is really desperate. Soon you will be seeing 45' LCDs for $500. Walmart has 26' LCDs for $300 already.
Travel is also one area where there are and will continue to be insane deals. Looking for a cruise? I saw 4 and 7 night cruises departing from Miami and Charleston for under $200 a person. And inn $100 in taxes and still that is some cheap vacationing.
