From the 'Do as I say, not as I do' file

The Democrats have decided to privatize the Senate restaurants. It appears that the joints are run so poorly that they may be about to close down, due to so colosal piss poor management. The restaurants are losing $250K. Given that a Democrat Senator is mich too important to eat a bagged lunch or at Subway, the Demos have decided to allow - GHASP - a private operator to come in and save the day.

The Federal government is not competent enough to run a Senate cafeteria. Yet we are told over and over by the likes of Hillary and Obama and Diane Feinstein and Ted Kennedy and John Kerry that we should allow the federal government to run the country's health care.

If it weren't so sad, it would be funny.

The most discouraging parts in the article are the ones regarding the effects of privatization:

"I know what happens with privatization. Workers lose jobs, and the next generation of workers make less in wages." -Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio)

"You cannot stand on the Senate floor and condemn the privatization of workers, and then turn around and privatize the workers here in the Senate and leave them out on their own." -Robert Menendez (D-NJ)

So Mr. Brown thinks that private business causes lost jobs and low wages? I guess he and Maxine Waters get along quite well. Kudos to the people of Ohio for voting this anti-capitalist into office. And Mr. Menendez accidently (but strongly) makes the case that those government employees are inefficient. Privatization will leave those workers out in the cold? I guess he's not for competition either.

I bet Hugo Chavez and Hu Jinato would love to appoint Menendez and Brown to high profile positions in their governments. Too bad the voters in New Jersey and Ohio beat them to it.

Kennedy's fat a$$ is partly to blame. He ate up all the profits. When he dies of a brain tumor they'll be profitable.

Usually I wouldn't make fun of someone who has cancer. But that piece of shit Kennedy deserves what he's got.
