1. Give the Obama campaign the perfect campaign stump speech by saying the economy is on the verge of disaster.

2. Demoralize conservatives by working with Pelosi and Reid to come up with the bailout bill.

3. Demoralize conservatives even more by making it appear as if the end of the world would happen if the bailout bill fails

4. Cause a panic sell on Wall St. after #3 becomes reality.

5. See #1, except with twice the effect.

6. Come up with even more bailout measures that demoralizes conservatives even more.

7. Implement the bailouts to make sure that if they do work - big if - the effects will start showing up right around the time Obama in sworn in, ensuring that like Clinton, he gets the credit for a good economy he had nothing to do with.

8. After 1-7 happens, ensure Democrats control the White House for the next 40 years.
